About us

A focused development company, not a technology vendor

We do not build solar technology and we do not intend to. Our role is to deploy a mature, proven platform in Western Australia as dispatchable, firm power and process heat for the resources sector.

Who we are

Shepherd Energy

Shepherd Energy is an Australian-incorporated, Australian-controlled energy developer based in Perth, Western Australia. We are a focused development company — not a competing technology vendor.

Our role is to deploy a mature, proven concentrated-solar-power platform in Western Australia as dispatchable, firm power and process heat for the resources sector, beginning in the Pilbara.

Our value to a technology partner is our market access, our local knowledge, and our ability to carry an overseas-origin project through Australia's regulatory and financing environment.

What we sell

Not "cheap daytime electricity" — solar PV wins that contest. We sell clean power in the evening, process steam overnight, synchronous grid strength, and a lower diesel and gas bill at remote sites.

Our approach

How we work

1

Desktop opportunity screen

A no-cost initial assessment using public data and non-confidential site assumptions. CST benchmarked against PV, BESS, wind, gas and electrification — with a clear go / no-go verdict.

2

Host engagement

Anchor to a creditworthy offtaker. Technology configuration selected once the host duty profile is clear.

3

Technology & FEED

Proven technology and equipment supply with engineering support — performance guarantees, localisation and commercial structure.

4

Approvals & financing

Structured to clear environmental and regulatory approvals. Aligned to ARENA, CEFC and Energy Policy WA pathways.
